If your air conditioner turns on but does not produce cold air, make sure all of the vents are open, and the thermostat is properly set. Check the air filter if none of these is the issue. There will be no airflow if it is clogged with dirt or other debris. Since clog may cause the evaporator coils to freeze, the ice and frost will further hinder the airflow. If this is the case, thoroughly clean the filter with a soft brush, mild soap, and water. Air conditioner not cooling enough- Check your vents to ensure that they are all open. If even one of them is closed, the warm air from the room with the closed vent will mix with the cooled air from the others, making it more difficult to cool your entire home. Otherwise, you could be dealing with another issue, such as a leak in your refrigerant line.
